Established in 2021, the Department of Informatics and Information Technologies at Chirchik State Pedagogical University specializes in training skilled educators in informatics, mathematics, and information technology. It emphasizes integrating modern IT into education, developing innovative teaching methods, and fostering an individualized approach in digital learning environments. The department also provides IT education for students across various non-specialized pedagogical fields.
The “Actual 90 Days” project at the university. The “Actual 90 Days” project was launched at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Within the framework of the project, large-scale work will be carried out from June 1 to August 30 to ensure the meaningful leisure time of schoolchildren and unorganized youth, their health and comprehensive development. A university order has been developed in this regard and practical measures are being taken. Within the framework of the “Actual 90 Days” project, approved by the resolution of the MHESI dated May 16, 2025 No. 36, on the basis of the approved plan of measures to be implemented at Chirchik State Pedagogical University on the implementation of paragraph 12 of the program of measures aimed at meaningful organization of leisure time of students and pupils of higher and vocational educational institutions, academic lyceums during the summer vacation period. The Department of Informatics and IT of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics has developed a program called “Magic behind the Frame”. Based on this program, students were given practical tasks, and the initial results were accepted, and the most active students were sent to the next stage. Year of Establishment and Development History
The Department of Informatics and Information Technologies was established within the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics based on the decision of the Council meeting No. 1 of the Tashkent Region Chirchik State Pedagogical Institute (now Chirchik State Pedagogical University) dated August 28, 2021.
The department trains specialists in "Mathematics and Informatics" (Bachelor's degree) and "Information Technologies in Education" (Master's degree). Additionally, it teaches informatics and information technologies to students in various non-specialized fields, including Music Education, Fine Arts and Engineering Graphics, Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry, Tourism, Organization and Management of Hotel Business, Sign Language Interpreting, Geography and Fundamentals of Economic Knowledge, Psychology, Logopedics, Biology, and Guide Accompanying and Interpreting Activities.

The department's goal is to prepare highly qualified and competitive specialists who can effectively utilize modern information technologies in the education system and apply an individual approach in a digital learning environment.

- Improving Educational Quality: Implementing active learning technologies and educational support systems, and expanding the academic mobility of students and teachers.
- Personnel Qualification Enhancement: Actively participating in the development and implementation of advanced training course programs for mathematics and informatics teachers, and sending department teachers for internships to leading educational countries.
- Developing Scientific and Pedagogical Potential: Organizing the participation of professors, teachers, and talented students in scientific projects, competitions, and grants.
- Monitoring the Educational Process: Conducting prompt monitoring of the educational process and continuously updating the information and analytical database.
