Established in 2021 at Chirchik State Pedagogical University, the Department of Informatics Teaching Methodology specializes in training highly qualified educators in informatics and related IT fields. It focuses on integrating modern information technologies into education, developing innovative teaching methods, and fostering an individual approach in digital learning environments. The department also educates students in various non-specialized pedagogical areas.
Year of Establishment and Development History
The Tashkent Region Chirchik State Pedagogical Institute (now Chirchik State Pedagogical University) was established based on Resolution No. PQ-3152 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 27, 2017, "On the Establishment of the Tashkent Region Chirchik State Pedagogical Institute." The department began its activities in the "Informatics Teaching Methodology" specialization within the "Exact Sciences" department of the institute's "Exact and Natural Sciences" faculty.
The department was established as "Informatics Teaching Methodology" within the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics based on the decision of the former Tashkent Region Chirchik State Pedagogical Institute Council meeting No. 1 dated August 28, 2021. The department primarily provides education to students in specialized areas such as "Informatics Teaching Methodology," "Mathematics and Informatics," and "Information Systems and Technologies," as well as non-specialized areas including Music Education, Fine Arts and Engineering Graphics, Physics and Astronomy, Chemistry, Tourism (by types of activity), Organization and Management of Hotel Business, Sign Language Interpreting, Geography and Fundamentals of Economic Knowledge, Psychology, Logopedics, Biology, Guide Accompanying and Interpreting Activities.
Department Goals and Objectives
The Department of Informatics Teaching Methodology is a structural subdivision of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. It carries out educational, methodical, scientific-methodical, scientific-research work in specialized and non-specialized subjects, as well as the training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel, organizational, spiritual-educational, and upbringing work.
The department has set the following goals and objectives:
- Conducting scientific research and development, publishing research results in scientific journals, and presenting lectures and reports by professors and teachers at international, national, regional, inter-university, and other scientific and practical conferences, forums, and roundtables.
- Assisting national, regional, and local government bodies in evaluating management decisions in the field of education, and participating in the work of scientific expert councils, commissions, working groups, and specialized commissions.
- Introducing active learning technologies and education support systems, and expanding the academic mobility of students and teachers.
- Actively participating in the development, updating, and implementation of programs for advanced training courses for teachers of mathematics and informatics, based on the needs of the regional labor market and by order of state authorities and administrative bodies, and sending department teachers for internships to leading educational countries.
- Timely filling and updating the existing information and analytical database for real-time monitoring of the educational process and maintaining its results.
- Organizing the participation of the department's professors, teachers, and students in scientific projects, competitions, and grants in cooperation with other departments and faculties.
