Department of Sports Games and Teaching Methodology
Established in 2024 at Chirchiq State Pedagogical University, the Department of Sports Games and Teaching Methodology focuses on training highly qualified specialists in physical education and sports. It provides in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in sports games, incorporating modern pedagogical technologies and advanced coaching methods. The department also conducts research on teaching methodologies, youth athlete development, digital technologies in sports, and enhancing coaches' professional competence.
Year of Establishment and History of Development The Department of Sports Games and Teaching Methodology was established on August 29, 2024, by Decision No. 1 of the Council of Chirchiq State Pedagogical University. Previously, it operated within the "Physical Culture Theory" department before becoming an independent department. Currently, the department trains students in the Physical Culture education program on sports games and their teaching methodology.
Mission and Objectives of the Department Mission: To train highly qualified specialists in the field of physical education and sports. Our Goals:
- The department aims to prepare students with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge in sports games, based on modern pedagogical technologies, advanced coaching methods, and principles of sports management.
- Expanding international cooperation – establishing partnerships with universities, the scientific community, and educational projects.
- Developing the scientific research environment – developing scientific research in sports games and creating innovative teaching methodologies. The medium-term strategic development program of the Department of Sports Games and Teaching Methodology (for 2024-2025) is currently being implemented.

Scientific Research Directions and Projects The Department of Sports Games and Teaching Methodology conducts scientific research in several strategic areas. These directions aim to conduct scientific research that meets modern educational demands, expand cooperation with national and international scientific communities, and achieve practical results:
- Methodology of teaching sports games: Developing the methodology of teaching sports games as a subject is one of the department's priority areas. Special attention is paid to developing the psychological and physiological aspects of games (S.X.Xabibullayev), developing tactical and strategic approaches (S.K.Toshpo‘latov), and improving independent learning-oriented approaches (B.I.Xo‘janiyozov).
- Research on the upbringing and development of young athletes: The department's scientific research in this area focuses on physical training, developing appropriate physical training programs for young athletes, and determining the physical loads necessary for their growth and development (T.U.Zufarov). Scientific research has also been initiated on improving the psychological readiness of athletes, managing stress, setting goals, and increasing motivation (M.N.Shermatov).
- Research on digital technologies in sports (e.g., video analysis, virtual reality): A number of scientific works are being carried out within the direction of digital technologies in sports. This includes athlete analysis: studying athletes' movements through video analysis, evaluating tactics and strategies, and preparing video materials that help coaches better understand their athletes' movements (A.I.Nazarov, A.I.Sultanov).
- On improving the professional competence of coaches: Research on effective teaching methods, pedagogical technologies, and innovative methods for coaches is important. Work is being carried out on introducing interactive teaching, problem-solving methods, and similar methodologies (V.Sh.Karayev). These directions contribute to enhancing the department's scientific research potential and developing new modern methodologies.
