Bakhodir Eshchanov, fizika-matematika fanlari doktori va professor, O‘zbekistonning yetakchi olimlaridan biri bo‘lib, ilmiy tadqiqot, ta’lim va boshqaruv sohalarida katta tajribaga ega. Uning faoliyati O‘zbekistonda fizika fanining rivojlanishiga va yuqori malakali kadrlarni tayyorlashga sezilarli hissa qo‘shgan.
Shaxsiy ma'lumotlar, Ta'lim va Mukofotlar
Bakhodir Eshchanov 1971-yilda Xorazm viloyatida tug‘ilgan. Uning ilmiy va akademik sayohati quyidagi bosqichlardan iborat:
- 1988-1993: Toshkent Davlat Universiteti (hozirgi O‘zbekiston Milliy Universiteti), Fizika fakulteti talabasi.
- 1995-1998: O‘zbekiston Milliy Universiteti (sobiq Toshkent Davlat Universiteti), Fizika fakulteti aspiranti.
- 2001: Fizika-matematika fanlari nomzodi (PhD) ilmiy darajasini olgan (ixtisosligi 01.04.05 – “Optika”).
- 2018: Fizika-matematika fanlari doktori (DSc) ilmiy darajasini olgan.
- 2016: Dotsent ilmiy unvonini olgan.
- 2018: Professor ilmiy unvonini olgan.

Pedagogik faoliyat
Bakhodir Eshchanovning pedagogik faoliyati uning ilmiy bilimlarni yosh avlodga yetkazishga bo‘lgan sodiqligini namoyish etadi. Uning o‘qitgan fanlari va qo‘llanmalari talabalarning chuqur bilim olishiga yordam bergan:
- O‘qitadigan fanlari: Nochiziqli optika, Molekulyar optika, Amaliy optika, Kondensirlangan muhitlar spektroskopiyasi, Biofizika.

- 2011: "Optikadan masalalar yechish metodikasi" nomli o‘quv – uslubiy qo‘llanma.
- 2012: Ruscha – o‘zbekcha izohli "Optika lug‘ati".

- 2020: "Fizikada kompleks o‘zgaruvchili funksiyalar" nomli o‘quv qo‘llanma.
Ilmiy rahbarlik:
- 2014-2021: 20 nafar talaba va magistr (8 bakalavr, 12 magistr)ning bitiruv malakaviy ishlariga va magistrlik dissertatsiyalariga rahbarlik qilgan.
- Respublikamizga yuqori malakali kadrlar tayyorlash bo‘yicha uning rahbarligida 2 nafar tadqiqotchi falsafa fanlari doktori (PhD) bo‘yicha dissertatsiya ishlarini himoya qilgan.
- Hozirgi kunda 3 nafar ilmiy tadqiqotchiga rahbarlik qilmoqda.

Bakhodir Eshchanovning ilmiy faoliyati optika va kondensirlangan muhitlar fizikasi sohasidagi chuqur tadqiqotlariga qaratilgan. Uning ilmiy qiziqishlari quyidagilarni o‘z ichiga oladi:

- 2019: Polsha Milliy Akademik Almashinuv Agentligi (NAWA) PPI / APM / 2019/1/00004: “3D Raqamli Ipak yo‘li (SilkRoad3D)” (280 000 AQSh dollari). Polshaning Lyublin texnologiyalar universiteti va Chirchiq davlat pedagogika instituti hamkorligida amalga oshiriladigan ilmiy loyihaning koordinatori.
- 2014-2016: Jahon Fanlar Akademiyasi (TWAS) Tadqiqot granti No. 15-198 RG/PHYS/AS_I – FR3240287086: "Anizotrop suyuqliklarda relaksatsiya jarayonlarini eksperimental o‘rganish: Tebranish va orientatsiya spektrlarini tahlil qilish" (8000 AQSh dollari).
- 2014-2016: UNESCO tashkiloti granti 14-022 RG/MATH/AS_G: UNESCO FR: 324028610 (65000 AQSh dollari).
- 2016: Yaponiyaning Matsumae Xalqaro Jamg‘armasi (MIF) individual granti (15000 AQSh dollari).
Ushbu loyihalar doirasida 3 ta zamonaviy Work Shop kompyuterlari va HELO RB-10 spektral qurilmasi sotib olingan. Loyiha doirasida uch nafar magistr magistrlik dissertatsiyalarini va ikki nafar bakalavr bitiruv malakaviy ishlarini himoya qilishgan.
