The Raman spectrum, reflecting the laws of motion of bromobenzene and o-dibromobenzene molecules, was studied in a wide spectral range (100÷3500 cm-1). With the help of the Raman spectrum, the laws of mono- and di-substitution of the halide atom in the molecular structure were determined. Based on experimental results and theoretical quantum-chemical calculations, it was suggested that the high-intensity spectral bands formed at low frequencies are associated with the rotational-vibrational motion of the molecule.
