Department of Physical Culture Theory
Established in 2018 at Chirchiq State Pedagogical University, the Department of Physical Culture Theory focuses on preparing future physical education teachers by developing their active movement skills, modern knowledge, and independent thinking. It offers bachelor's and master's programs, emphasizing improved teaching methodologies, health promotion, and the integration of national values with international best practices in physical education and sports.
Year of Establishment and History of Development The Department of Physical Culture was established on October 10, 2018, by Order No. 01–660 of the Rector of Chirchiq State Pedagogical Institute in Tashkent region. Initially operating under the name "Department of Physical Culture," it was later reorganized on August 27, 2019, by Decision No. 1 of the Scientific Council of Chirchiq State Pedagogical Institute, and continues its activities as the "Department of Physical Culture Theory" within the "Physical Culture" faculty. Currently, our department is engaged in preparing future physical education teachers for their professional activities.
Mission and Objectives of the Department Mission: To develop students' active movement skills and form their competence in independent thinking, equipped with modern knowledge and high moral-ethical qualities. Our Goals:
- Improving the quality of education by establishing close cooperation with republican sports federations and internationally recognized top-ranked higher education institutions.
- Expanding international cooperation – establishing partnerships with local and foreign universities, the scientific community, and educational projects.
- Developing the scientific research environment – creating an innovative ecosystem by modernizing the forms, methods, and technologies of the physical culture education process based on problem-based research, active, and collaborative learning strategies. The medium-term strategic development program of the Department of Physical Culture Theory (for 2022-2025) is being implemented.

Scientific Research Directions and Projects The scientific research activity organized within the Department of Physical Culture Theory is carried out in several strategic directions. This includes involvement as a specialist in the practical project "Creation of digital technologies for the introduction of selection, screening, forecasting, and monitoring of the development of high sports achievements in sports educational institutions" by the Institute of Scientific Research of Physical Education and Sports (J.M.Shukurllayev). The following directions aim to conduct scientific research that meets modern educational demands, expand cooperation with national and international scientific communities, and achieve practical results:
- Physical Culture: Developing the methodology of teaching physical education and sports subjects is one of the department's priority areas. Special attention is paid to developing and popularizing various types of physical education activities (B.D.Abdunabiyev), improving students' physical movement skills through school laboratory work (S.D.Abduraximov), and enhancing independent learning-oriented approaches in physical education (I.R.Choriyev). Furthermore, effective work has been done on improving the educational process based on acmeological approaches (J.M.Shukurllayev).
- Development of Health-Improving and Professional Competencies: Research aimed at forming students' sports and health-improving skills remains one of the department's important priorities. Implementing innovative educational technologies into the learning process through creative approaches (S.D.Abduraximov, B.A.Abdunabiyev).
- Integration of Educational Directions and Values: Developing the physical preparedness of future military education teachers and promoting universal values among students are important aspects of the department's activities. In this regard, extensive research is being conducted on national values and moral education based on international experience (T.S.Achilov, Sh.M.Jurayev). These directions contribute to enhancing the department's scientific research potential and developing new modern methodologies.
