Large-scale reforms are being implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan to modernize the education system, particularly in physical education and sports, in line with international standards. Based on the principle "New Uzbekistan – the Foundation of a Healthy Generation," fostering a healthy lifestyle among youth and comprehensively developing their physical, spiritual, and intellectual potential is recognized as a priority of state policy.

In this context, the international scientific-practical conference titled "Current Issues and Future Solutions for the Development of the Physical Education System," organized by Chirchiq State Pedagogical University on October 17–18, 2025, served as a vital scientific event aimed at harmonizing advanced experiences in modern education, science, and sports, implementing innovative pedagogical approaches, and increasing the effectiveness of sectoral research.

Based on the strategic goals set by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, and the Ministry of Sports, the forum included extensive discussions on the conceptual foundations of improving physical education, integrating modern ICT into the educational process, and guiding students toward a healthy lifestyle.

Alongside national higher education institutions, scientists, practitioners, and young researchers from prestigious universities and research centers in Russia, Iran, South Korea, Poland, Turkey, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan actively participated. Their presentations highlighted innovative approaches, the use of digital technologies, the improvement of didactic mechanisms in sports education, and new horizons for international cooperation.

The conference featured specialized sessions in the following areas:

  • Improving physical education classes in the preschool education system;

  • Enhancing the quality of physical education lessons in general secondary schools;

  • Innovative mechanisms for training future physical culture specialists;

  • Current issues of the educational and upbringing system in the pedagogical process.

The presented scientific reports put forward practical recommendations for bringing the physical education system to a new level and broadly implementing competency-based approaches and digital education.
