Meeting held between the Rector of CSPU and professors of the Leibniz Institute for the German Language (IDS)

     Within the framework of the international summer school held at Chirchik State Pedagogical University, an official meeting took place between the Rector of the university, Professor Gafurjan Israilovich Muxamedov, and visiting professors from Germany representing the Leibniz Institute for the German Language (Leibniz-Institut für Deutsche Sprache, IDS, Mannheim) — Professor Stefan Engelberg, Professor Katharina Dück, Professor Christian Lang, and Professor Roman Schneider.

     During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the cooperation between CSPU and IDS established in 2023, the scientific activities implemented within this framework, as well as the content and significance of the ongoing international summer school.

     The participants exchanged views on expanding academic cooperation in the field of empirical German linguistics, developing seminars and training programs for young researchers, effectively utilizing IDS research resources, and promoting academic mobility and research internships.

     Particular attention was also paid to the prospects of organizing the summer school on a regular basis, expanding joint research projects and publications, as well as the possibility of extending the current cooperation agreement for the next five years.

     The meeting marked an important step toward advancing the partnership between CSPU and IDS to a new level.
