Graduated from the National University of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulugbek (2007 — Bachelor's degree in "Slavic Philology: Russian Language and Literature", 2009 — Master's degree in "Linguistics: Russian Language"). Worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature at school No. 9 in Chirchik, then at the Chirchik Academic Lyceum. Kononova I. Yu. has been working at the Chirchik State Pedagogical University since 2017.

Areas of scientific interests — syntax of the modern Russian literary language; historical grammar and historical phonetics of the Russian language; active processes in the modern Russian language; morphemics and morphophonology; comparative grammar of the Russian and Uzbek languages.
