Her research interests focus on the development of toponymic competence. Within this research area, she has published more than 20 scientific articles and conference abstracts. Based on the results of her research, she is the author of a учебное пособие (study guide) entitled “Toponymy”.
The topic of the ongoing scientific research is entitled “Methodology for Developing Toponymic Competence in Students.” This research is aimed at developing toponymic competence based on methodologies grounded in modern pedagogical and cognitive theories, focusing on the comprehensive formation of students’ processes of studying toponyms and the acquisition of well-developed competencies. These methodologies adopt theoretical approaches oriented toward critical thinking and innovative perspectives.
At the same time, the integration of toponymic data with Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies enables accurate and effective analysis of linguistic information, increases the efficiency of analytical processes, and expands opportunities for their practical application in real-life contexts. These methods ensure digital management of modern knowledge through integrative educational systems.
It should be noted that the application of digital education and cognitive modeling methods contributes to strengthening students’ ability to acquire knowledge independently and effectively, while also creating opportunities for a deep and comprehensive understanding of the learning process. New modeling approaches support the development of learners’ cognitive processes and assist them in setting clear and achievable goals. Interactive methods and cartographic simulations serve as effective tools for the formation of toponymic knowledge and its practical application, enhancing student engagement and improving the accuracy of acquired knowledge. These methods promote the formation of innovative theoretical thinking at a high level and contribute to strengthening students’ ecological and toponymic knowledge through the integration of ancestral heritage and national values into research activities.
It is important to emphasize that the implementation of these methodologies in the educational process contributes to the development of students’ toponymic knowledge and expands opportunities for its practical application, laying the foundation for the formation of new skills at each stage of education and ensuring the effective integration of national values into modern education through the study of ancestral heritage. These processes, based on personal experience and practical activities, create conditions for the effective development of students’ toponymic competence and the formation of relevant skills. These educational methods facilitate the integration of theoretical and practical knowledge, increase students’ engagement in understanding historical and cultural heritage, and encourage independent thinking.
